The color orange, chosen intentionally, represents a vibrant and optimistic hue often associated with safety and visibility. It symbolizes a zone where we perceive ourselves to be secure and protected. However, within this perceived safety, I aim to provoke a sense of caution that challenges our complacency and urges us to reassess our surroundings.

매년 겨울마다 철새들이 북쪽에서 이 지역으로 날아온다. 주황색의 월경방지표시선은 이 선 넘어 하늘을 나는 것을 금지한다. 하지만 새들은 자유롭게 드나든다.
북쪽에서 날아온 새들은 오랫동안 터줏대감인 까마귀에게 눈치를 본다. 까마귀들은 텃세를 부린다. 독수리는 하늘의 제왕으로 알려져 있지만, 그들은 한철 잠시 들렀다가는 노마드의 삶을 살고 있다.
티베트에서는 독수리를 망자의 영혼을 하늘로 인도하는 사신(死神)과 같은 존재로 여겨 신성시한다. 독수리가 시신을 먹고 그 영혼을 하늘로 인도하면 영혼이 승천하거나 부귀한 집안에서 다시 태어난다고 믿어 새의 먹이로 주는 천장(天葬. 조장鳥葬이라고도 한다)을 지낸다. 한국에서는 한국조류보호협외에서 DMZ 인접지역으로 날라오는 한국의 천연기념물로 여겨지는 독수리들을 위해 죽은 가축, 소, 개, 돼지 등을 수확을 마친 들판에 던져 놓는다. 하지만 전염병 상황에 따라 먹이를 주지 않아 죽는 독수리들도 많다.
그들은 먹이를 찾아, 풍족한 곳을 찾아 아주 먼 여정을 떠난다. 그들은 다른 문화에 노출되며 그들의 상징은 신부터 눈치를 보는 외부인 신세까지 그 환경에 따라 바뀐다.
우리는 정치적 상황, 보이지 않는 것들, 여러 상징, 문화, 문맥에서 어디에 위치에 있느냐에 따라 다르게 가치가 평가된다. 모순된 평가와 충동이 존재하며 우리는 여러 색들의 존재를 인식할 필요가 있다. 니체에 의하면, 사실이란 존재하지 않으며 단지 해석만 있을 뿐이다. 또한 장자는 이 세상에 존재하는 모든 것을 상대적인 것으로 파악하였다. 소요유편에서 나오는 우화를 통해 엄청난 크기의 곤도 물고기 알인 곤도 한계 속에 갇혀 사는 같은 존재일 뿐이다. 즉 곤은 현실의 삶, 세속의 삶, 육체적 삶 을 사는 존재이다. 이 물고기 곤은 변화해서 거대한 새가 되는데 그 이름을 붕이라고 한다. 바다라는 한정된 공간에서 벗어나 커다란 날개짓으로 하늘을 나는 환상을 통해 자유와 초월을 이야기한다.
우리 주변을 둘러보면 끝없이 무지개빛 창살이 쳐져있는듯 하다. 예술가는 저마다의 무지개빛 창살 안에서 끊임없이 꿈을 꾸며 자유롭고자한다.
미술사 학자 max raphael은 “인간이 할 수 있는 일의 가장자리에 인간이 할 수 없거나 아직 하지 못했던 일들이 나타나지만, 모든 창조성이 뿌리를 내리는 곳이 바로 거기다.” 라고 썼다.

Every winter, migratory birds fly to the area from the north. The orange aircraft warning markers prohibit flying beyond this line. But the birds come and go freely.
Birds flying from the north take notice of crows that have lived here for a long time. Crows act territorial. Eagles are known as the kings of the sky, but they live nomad life. They stop by for a while for survival.
In Tibet, the eagle is considered sacred and is considered to be like a deity that guides the souls of the dead to heaven. It is believed that when an eagle eats a dead body and leads its soul to heaven, the spirit ascends to heaven or is reborn in a wealthy family. Eagles fly from the North to the area adjacent to the DMZ. In Korea, dead cattle, dogs, and pigs are thrown into the harvested fields for eagles by The Korea Bird Conservation Association. They are considered natural monuments of Korea. However, depending on the epidemic situation, many vultures die because people do not feed them.
They go on very long journeys in search of food and in search of abundance. They are exposed to different cultures, and their symbols change according to their environment, from gods to observant outsiders.
We are valued differently depending on where we stand in invisibles, symbols, cultures, political situations, and contexts. Contradictory assessments and impulses exist and we need to recognize the existence of multiple colors. According to Nietzsche, facts do not exist, there are only interpretations. Zhuangzi also understood that everything that exists in this world is relative. Through the allegory from 소요유, the 곤[Gon] fish which is enormous size and the fish’s eggs are just the same beings who are trapped within the limits. In other words, 곤[Gon] is a being who lives a real-life, a worldly life, and a physical life. And then this fish transforms into a giant bird, which is called 붕[Bung]. It means freedom and transcendence through the illusion of flying away from the limited space of the sea with the flap of its wings.
When we look around us, it seems that there are endless rainbow-colored bars. Artists are constantly dreaming and trying to be free within their own iridescent fence.
Art historian Max Raphael said, “On the edge of what we can do, things we can't or haven't been able to do, but that's where all creativity takes root.”
